Field Trip – Barrier Island Ecology and Bird Walk “Members Only”

Join us for a morning on Jekyll Island with a plant biologist Eamonn Leonard (GA DNR) and a master birder and artist Lydia Thompson . We will explore Barrier Island Geology and Formation with a concentration plant community development and the bird species who call these environments home. We will move from early successional beach habitats to the climax maritime forest and show how this island has changed over time.
